The stump from the third Test has a laminated strip around the top with the County logo repeated. There are also two laminated stickers, one with the words "On Loan from Jeff & Martin Crowe" and the other with "Perth 1985 NZ v A Series win for NZ". Written in pen on the top of the stump is the following: “NZ v A Series Win1 985”. The wooden spike is heavily encrusted with dirt. The stump has three distinct cherry red ball marks.

Two major types of stumps are County Stumps and Club Stumps. GM County stumps are made from beech; Gray Nicholls County stumps are made from ash.
